Teams are as old as The Code of Hammurabi. For thousands of years team was the unit for small-scale activity— fighting, farming, revolution, etc. During the industrial revolution, assembly machinery changed all that. This era introduced hierarchy, organizational structure, and bureaucracy, resulting in top-down people control. People were individual machines under the control of top-down leadership and management; they were utilized for maximum productivity.
The problem, however, is that people are not machines. We function best in relationship with a purpose driving us. Given time and space to work together, trust is built and tremendous synergy released to produce something greater than the sum of its parts!
This 6-8 hour workshop includes interactive breakout activities.
